Apple has made a decision to stop carrying the Endoscopy Medical Instruments GmbH Endoscopes line of products in Germany, citing “high prices.”
In a statement, the company said it “is committed to maintaining and supporting our German operations,” adding that it is “not aware of any changes that could affect its customers.”
German news outlet Der Spiegel reported that Apple stopped selling the Endoscopic Medical Instruments Endoscope in August 2017, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The report also said that Apple was planning to stop shipping the device to customers in Germany by the end of 2019.
Apple has yet to officially comment on the report, but the company has been a vocal critic of German law and policies that allow the manufacture and sale of products that might be considered harmful or harmful to the environment.
Apple did not respond to a request for comment from Recode.
