Esco Medical Instruments, a global medical instruments group that is headquartered in the U.K., announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to merge its U.S. business and its Canadian operations.
The news comes less than two weeks after Esco acquired the U,K.-based British medical device manufacturer Broadbent, which owns and operates several other U.k.-based medical devices companies, including British-owned AstraZeneca.
Esco, which was founded in 2005, said it expects to achieve net sales of $8 billion during the fiscal year 2019.
It also said it plans to create a wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada.
